Woody Allen to create his first TV show for Amazon

It’s called Untitled Woody Allen Project. Yes, really.

DIRECTOR WOODY ALLEN has signed on to do his first ever television series with Amazon Studios.

The show, called Untitled Woody Allen Project (that really is the name, for now), will be written and directed by Allen and available exclusively on Prime Instant Video in the US, UK and Germany.

As reported by Business Insider, Amazon Studios Vice-President Roy Price has said that Allen is a “visionary creator” and working with him is an “honour”.

This is what Allen had to say for himself:

I don’t know how I got into this. I have no ideas and I’m not sure where to begin. My guess is that Roy Price will regret this.

A great vote of confidence from the director.

The announcement of Untitled Woody Allen Project has been met with some scepticism on Twitter, given Allen’s fall from grace in recent years:
